Domain dispute
A civil suit was filed by the Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, asking a Franklin County Circuit Court to grant control online poker website domain names to the government in September 2008. This dispute includes Cake Poker.com as well.
The Kentucky Court of Court of Appeals made a stay order in 2009, on the seizure order issued by Judge Thomas Wingate. In the same year the decision was made to halt forfeiture of domain names.
In February 2009, the Commonwealth of Kentucky appealed the ruling from January 2009, asking to submit a longer appeal brief.
